Obituary

Jimmie Ann Trotter, aged 65 years, passed away at her home peacefully in her sleep on February 26, 2025.

Jimmie Ann Trotter AKA (Nana) was born on May 2, 1960 in Jasper, Al to Barbara Ann Phillips and James Marlin Trotter. She never stopped talking about how much she loved and missed her parents.

Jimmie Ann Trotter was preceded in death by Barbara Phillips (Nanny) and James Trotter (Papa Trotter). She was survived by her brother Michael Trotter and her children James Dean Pinard (Sunshine Pinard) and William Robert Matlock (Autum Matlock) and grandchildren Kaden Matlock, Jimmie Crow, Colby Keeton, Tristan Matlock, Abel Hennessy, Marissa Pinard and Luke Pinard and an expected grandchild (River Matlock).  She was also survived by her very special friends Jimmy Dragoo, Steve Defatta, Elle, and her cousin Donna Phillips that was like a sister to her and countless other loved family members and friends.

Jimmie Ann worked as a school bus driver and in Sales for years selling mobile homes, she was also a financial advisor for Wells Fargo for a time and she was  a railroad crew transport driver and a cashier for a short time.

Anyone who ever met Jimmie Ann described her as just a loving and kind person that never met a stranger. She loved her Boys and her grandchildren very much. She would brag about her children and grandchildren's accomplishments to anyone that would listen. Her most favorite thing to do was get as much family as she could together and cook and talk about family history, she absolutely loved researching family Ancestry. Jimmie Ann had a beautiful voice, an ear for music, and loved to sing. She also loved to watch her sports with Alabama Crimson Tide as her favorite football team and Atlanta Braves as her favorite baseball team and LSU her rivalry. She was a great softball player as a young girl and shared her skills with many softball teams as a coach. She also trained horses and rode in many rodeos. She loved to play pool and won many pool championships. Jimmie Ann was so full of love, her hugs and kind words will be missed so much.
