Jimmie Dale May, age 63 passed away, Monday, December 17 2007. Arrangements are under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, where the family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5pm til 8pm and again Thursday, 5pm til 8pm. Services will be held at 11:30am, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Western Hills Baptist Church, 4153 Pines Road, Rev. Joey Ketchum, officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park-West Cemetery. Mr. May was born in Converse, LA January 29, 1944 to Bob and Katharene May. He was a resident of Huxley, Texas. He is also served his country proudly as a part of the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam Era. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Sonny and Robert May, and sister, Faye Demon. Left to cherish his memory are his sons; Charles Hailey May and wife, Ann, Jimmie Dale May, Jr. and wife, Sarah; stepson, Jimmy Ray Self and his wife Martha; sister, Garland Flores; brothers, Robert Lee May and wife Yvonne, Danny May and wife Debbie, Roy May and wife Cynthia, and Ray May; and eight grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Webb, David May, Donny Attaway, Tommy Gowan, Bob Fluke, Don Chandler, Danny Haley and Eddie DeFriend. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Bogan, James Lee Dick, L.S. Prudhome, Chuck Gowan, Tommy Weeks, Mike Collier, Ronnie Jimes, and Rusty Culverson. The family wishes to express special thanks to Drs. Pintado and Makajuola, as well as the entire staff of the MICU of Overton-Brook VA Medical Center.
