Preceded in Death by his parents Thomas Harvey Gates and Allie Bruce Bourghs Gates,
brothers, Tommy and Raymond Gates, and sister, Betty Gates.

Survived by his daughters, Annette Wyatt (Richard) of Marthaville, Michelle Colston (Marty) of
Many, and son, Chris Gates (Amanda) of Zwolle, grandchildren, Terra Gentry (Ryan), Chase
Wyatt, Tyler (Alyssa) and Jax Colston, and Colby, Maci, and Holdyn Gates, great-grandchildren,
Rylie and Reece Gentry, Kingston Gates, and Remi Colston. Also survived by his sister, Paula
Elliott; along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
