A memorial service for Jesse Lee Henson will be held at Summer Grove Baptist Church in the Modern Service/Elevate Auditorium on December 17 ^th at 6pm.  He passed away on November 22 2021.  He was 36.

Jesse was preceded in death most recently by his beloved grandmother Linda Odom Ogletree.  His remains will be interred next to hers privately at a later date.

Jesse was born again in Christ on July 7, 1992 at Pine Springs Baptist Church Camp and was baptized at Brookwood Baptist Church on August 2, 1992. He began his musical career at Abundant Life Assembly of God as a teen in the Youth band playing the drums.  Since then he had played in many bands in different genres, Christian and secular.  He had been a worship team member at SGBC for the last four years.

Music was his passion, and though especially talented at the drums, he recently began teaching himself to play guitar and enjoyed it so much.  He had begun composing with some of his old friends and bandmates from the past with hopes for a reunion gig at some time in the future.

Jesse leaves behind his most precious gift, his daughter, Lyric Henson. He loved her to the moon and back.  Also surviving his loss is his mother, Leslee Ogletree Reed, father, Mark Henson, sister Tracy Henson Langlois and nieces Lena Gordon and Sailor Langlois, grandfather Charles Ogletree, grandmother Mildred Henson, uncle Brett Ogletree and cousin Zoe Ogletree, sister/cousin Tessa Bessing Hall, and an enormous family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.  Left to cherish Jesse's memory is  girlfriend Alena LaBorde, and her daughter, his buddy, Riley. His doggies Chirpa, Kenzie Mae, and Stark will miss their daddy.

Jesse never met a stranger and had hundreds of friends,  many who have left the most precious tributes to him on social media.  He was open to all...a rare personality and heart.
