Jerry Clinton Owens, 83, of Keithville, LA, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home after a lengthy illness.

Jerry was born on February 6, 1941, in El Dorado, AR, to Clinton and Maurice Owens.  During his life, he was a plumber from Local 141, where he was a lifetime member.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.  He attended First Baptist Church of Keithville and found great joy in picking on his pastor.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clinton and Maurice Owens.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Thelma Owens; son Wayne Owens and wife Sharon, son Mikeal Owens and wife Tiffany, and daughter Rana Wyatt; nine grandchildren, Sadie Owens, Hayden Owens, Mason Owens, Hunter Wyatt and wife Jessie, Blake Wyatt, Trent Daugherty and wife Tara, Tiffany Busch and husband Michael, Chase Anderson and wife Ava, and Cammie Anderson; two great grandchildren, Bella Busch and Larkin Daugherty; two sisters, Carolyn Hanry and husband Bob, Brenda Elmore and husband Jim.

A celebration of homegoing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, First Baptist Church Keithville, Keithville, LA, with Pastor Mike Stowell officiating. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the memorial service.

The family would like to express our gratitude and appreciation to the caring staff at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Home and Bristol Hospice.
