IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jerry "Andy"
Anderson
August 22, 1946 – October 21, 2021
Jerry "Andy" Anderson's Savior came to take him to heaven on October 21, 2021 at 75 years of age. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 22, 1946 to Albert H. Anderson, Sr and Nettie Brewster Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Albert (Al) H. Anderson, Jr. and Tommy (Tom) Anderson.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Janey Anderson Rachal, of Shreveport, LA, and a host of relatives and many friends.
Jerry graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1965. Shortly after graduation in 1966 Jerry joined the U.S. Air Force and "Andy" (as he was called in the service), served his country for four years. Jerry did a 18 month tour of duty in Vietnam, stationed mainly in DaNang. He taught English, was the first one in the foxholes to flush out the enemies, and he was a spotter on airplanes. He was a Mason and an El Karubah Shriner. Jerry loved playing baseball, tinkering with drag race cars, and watching sports-especially the Dallas Cowboys and LSU Tigers. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a plumber for over 50 years and recently was plumbing inspector for the city of Shreveport.
He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. A service for Jerry will be announced at a later date.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have EVERLASTING LIFE." John 3:16
