Jeremiah (Jeremy) Robert Sherwin, 38, of Haughton, LA passed peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, April 29 ^th , 2021 after complications during a sudden illness.  Visitation will be held at Aulds Funeral Home in Shreveport, LA from 6-8pm on Thursday, May 6 ^th .  A family and close-friend graveside service will be held at 1 pm at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville on Friday, May 7 ^th .  Jeremy was born in Shreveport, LA to Allen and Linda Sherwin on March 20 ^th , 1983.  Jeremy attended Louisiana Tech, and in 2017 earned his bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Liberty University.  Jeremy met his wife Mary Robertson in Shreveport in 1998.  Jeremy and Mary were married on January 5th, 2008 and continued their married life in Haughton, LA.

Jeremy served as a combat medic in Iraq as a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard where he volunteered for patrols to help his fellow servicemen.  After his military service, Jeremy continued his devotion and compassion to others by being heavily involved at Eastwood Baptist Church in Haughton.  At Eastwood, Jeremy helped transport church members to different events, was involved in teaching the youth ministry, and was involved in the perspectives program.  Jeremy's compassion and love for others are reflections of his love for Christ.

Jeremy is preceded in death by his mother, Linda.  He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mary Robertson Sherwin; daughters Abigail Sherwin and Brianna Sherwin, son Eli Sherwin of Haughton, father Allen Sherwin of Haughton, and brothers Jesse [Julie] Sherwin of Port Orchard, Washington and Joe [Amy] Sherwin of Bossier City, and countless friends that Jeremy made in his earthly journey here.
