JENNIFER DAY ADDISON

Jennifer “Jenny” Day Addison, 52, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born August 28, 1973, in Lawrencekirk, Dundee, Scotland, Jenny was born into a military family and spent her life carrying that same spirit of strength, adventure, and devotion to the people she loved.

Jenny was a proud 1991 graduate of C. E. Byrd High School and went on to earn her registered nursing degree from Northwestern State University in 2006. Nursing was more than a career for Jenny—it was a reflection of who she was. She had a natural gift for caring for people, and her patients were lucky to experience her compassion, humor, and genuine warmth.

To nearly everyone who knew her, she was simply Jenny. And if you knew Jenny, you knew that her smile could light up a room and that she always had a way of finding humor, even when life was difficult. Her easy laugh and quick wit brought comfort to her patients, friendship to those who needed it, and joy to the people fortunate enough to call her family or friend. She had a way of making people feel at home, and her presence will be deeply missed.

More than anything, Jenny was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest joy was her daughter, Bradee Elaine Addison, and she was so proud of the woman Bradee has become. In addition to Bradee Elaine, those left to treasure Jenny’s memory are Bradee’s partner, Dalton Hudson; her father, William “Bill” Day; step-mother Debbie Day; her sister, Lara Yeatts, and husband, Micheal; her nieces and nephews, Brianna, Ian, Austin and partner Bunnie; and Justin; her aunts and uncles Cheryl Armand; Mark Troegel; John and Delores “DeeDee” Brice; Gerry and Mary Gary and Lee Gardner; and an extended family of loved ones and friends who will carry her memory forward.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Peters; cousin, Scott Armand; uncle, Newell Armand; grandparents, Frank L. and Gloria J. Troegel and Herman and Elizabeth Day.

Jenny leaves behind far more than memories. She leaves behind stories that will be told again and again, laughter that will never be forgotten, and the lasting imprint of a woman who knew how to love fiercely, care deeply, and make people smile. Those who loved Jenny will continue to find pieces of her in the laughter, the stories, and the little moments that remind us just how special she was. A special thanks for all the care and support Ben Addison and Jennifer “Jenn” Frazier helped facilitate and gave Jenny these last several months.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana 71115, on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 1 pm.

Immediately following the celebration of life, Please join us for a potluck luncheon at the Elks Lodge #122, 310 East Preston Ave., Shreveport, LA 71105. Do not feel obligated to bring a dish, food will be provided but feel free to bring a dish that reminds you of Jenny, an appetizer, dish or dessert she gave you the recipe for or anything you may want to contribute. We invite you to gather with us as we share a meal, reminisce about Jenny, and celebrate the wonderful memories she left with us.
