J.B. Norman(Jake) departed from his earthly life peacefully on April 13, 2021 at the age 78. He was baptized over 50 years ago. J. B. was born to the late Senian Norman Sr. and Della Simmons Norman of Greenwood, La. on June 15, 1942 in Greenwood La. He was the third of eight children and attended Walnut Hill School and Home Union School. He was preceded in death by his parents Senior Norman Sr. and Della Simmons Norman, wife-Ruby Helen Snow Norman 1-sister Joyce Norman Pillors, 2 brothers-Roy Norman, Frank Norman, 1-grandaughter Crystal Tachell Norman Jones. He later married Ruby Snow on August 8, 1963 and into this union they had (4) children Michael Norman, Maurice Norman, Mariette Norman Jones(Christopher), Marlos Norman(Becky). He worked for the City of Shreveport for over 25 years where he later retired. He started landscaping at and early age and worked for the Hills and Chandlers until he later retired in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and riding on his lawn mower. Jake's memories will be cherished by (4) sisters Evelyn (Billy) Townes, Carson, Ca., Shirley (Norman) Calhoun Jackson, Ms., Margaret (Joshua) Ashaka-Jackson, Ms. Virginia (Norman) Young, (1) brother Senior Norman Jr.(Fatram) Los Angeles, Ca, step sister-Odessa King, step brother-Earnest Jackson Jr. all of Shreveport, La and (9) grandchildren, (18) great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
