Janice Ann Young was born on October 7,1937 in Elyria OH and passed away on April 14, 2023, in Ruston LA.

Janice graduated from Elyria District Catholic High School of Elyria OH in 1955. She then studied at Kent State University.  After Kent OH Janice moved with her family in 1960 to Fort Lauderdale FL. That is where she started her career in law.

In 1991, she moved to Ruston LA to be near her sister and began working for Jonathan Stewart Law Firm in Arcadia. Janice lived a full life while enjoying her most loved Maltese dogs, all named Lady. Janice's other hobbies included beaded needlepoint work, enjoying card games and crossword puzzles, garage sales, collectibles, reading, traveling throughout our country and Europe.

She preceded in death by her parents, Norbert and Harriet Young of Ft Lauderdale FL and her brother, Thomas Young of Supply North Carolina.

She is survived by sisters and brothers, Barbara Young of Ruston LA, Gerald and Carolyn Young of Ft. Lauderdale FL, Karen Pettit of Ft. Lauderdale FL, Maryann Young of Supply, North Carolina, Craig and Pam Boynton of Phoenix AZ, David and Barbara Young Cartersville GA.

Although Janice never had children of her own, she was a fun-loving and quite the character with a positive influence on all 17 nieces and nephews, 26 great nieces and nephews, and 4 great great nieces and nephews.

Janice's family would thank Stephanie, Susan, Sonya, Nathan and Maggie with Allegiance Hospice and Palliative Care NE for all their loving care and support.

Her family will miss her very much and a memorial will be at 245 Woodward Road Ruston LA on Saturday April 22 at 10 am.
