Janet Kay Bailiff, age 72, died on Sunday, August 30, 2020 in Minden, Louisiana.  From her birth in Wagner, South Dakota, December 23, 1947 she nourished people around her with her love and kindness.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry Soape, her daughters Traci Wilhite her fiancé David Adams, Deanna Wright her husband Jason Bowers, her son Danny Myers his wife Charity Myers, her grandchildren Nicholas Wright, Cassie Wright, Lindsey Wright, Garrett Malone, Hunter Myers, Logan Wilhite, Christian Myers, her great grandchildren Alisha, Emma, Nicholas Jr. and Rhett.  She is also survived by her sisters MaryAnn Bratz and Debra Smith, her brothers Joseph Durham and Jim Durham and sister in law Geraldine Durham and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by life long friends Ginger Settle and Terri Kendrick.  She was preceded in death by our father,James Bailiff, parents Joseph and Margaret Durham, her sisters Ida Loebs, Barbara Tobin, Margaret Ellen Durham, her brother Dethmer Durham, her brother in laws Tom Tobin and Abraham Bratz, her sister in law Delores Durham.

We will have a private memorial for her Saturday, September 5, 2020 for family in Benton, Louisiana.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to a charity of your choice.
