Jane Helen Anderson Rachal (Janey)

Janey Rachal, age 72, of Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2023, at her home in Shreveport. She was born on January 19, 1951, in Shreveport, to Albert and Nettie Anderson. She graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1969 and went on to attend LSUS.

Janey was a lady of many talents. She owned several businesses throughout her life, including Home Tax Service for over 45 years, Savannahs Coffee, and Sunshine and Rainbows. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Janey never met a stranger and loved talking to and taking care of her family and friends. She came from a musical family and had a beautiful voice. She loved her family with her whole heart and cherished every moment with them. Her kind and loving spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Janey is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Nettie Anderson, and three brothers, Albert Jr., Jerry, and Tommy.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, James Rachal, daughters Soni Johnson (Jody), Lesli Rachal Doyal (Richard), grandchildren Joshua Mangum (Micah), Rachal Mangum (Casey), Emily Johns (Breydon), Justin Jilg, Cherie Polk (KJ), Mariah, Kenna, Scarlett, Hartley, and two great grandbabies Harrison James Johns and James Michael Mangum.

A visitation will be held on May 17th at 10 am, with a service at 11 am at Living Word Church in Mansfield Louisiana. She will be remembered as a kind-hearted and loving woman who touched the lives of many people.
