IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Robert
Williams
November 3, 1959 – November 22, 2025
James Robert "Bob" Williams passed away on Saturday, Nov 22, 2025 at the age of 66 in Shreveport, LA following a long battle with prostate cancer. Bobby was born on Nov 3, 1959 in Shreveport, LA. Bobby grew up in Shreveport where he graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1977. In 1988, he moved to Dallas and in 1989, ran into an old friend, Elizabeth Ewing, at an outdoor Firefall concert. Bobby and Elizabeth were the love of each others life. They were married eight months later, March 24, 1990 and shared 35 wonderful years together.
Some of Bobby and Elizabeth's most wonderful memories are from the time spent, approximately 30 years, at their lake house on Lake Texoma at Texins Lake Texoma Club. So many wonderful friends and fun times were had. Bobby was affectionately known as Bobby-O. If you were there, you know why.
Bobby and Elizabeth spent the majority of their married years living in McKinney, TX until they decided to retire early and come back to Shreveport. Bobby knew his life would probably be cut short due to his cancer. At the end of 2024, his cancer came barreling back with a vengeance. Bobby fought a good fight. He was blessed that until a few months ago, Bobby would tell his oncologist that if he didn't tell him he had cancer, he wouldn't know.
Bobby was predeceased by his brother, Shelton Noble Williams, father, Shelton Robert Williams, maternal grandparents, Bob & Margie Noble, paternal grandparents, Cecil & Evelyn Williams, step-father Larry Reidhimer.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ewing-Williams, mother, Barbara Noble Reidhimer, sons, Parker and Aaron Williams, sister, Dianna Baker, step-son Jeff Ewing, and grandchildren, Parker II, Sailor, and Caiden Williams. He is also survived by two wonderful dachshunds, Heidi (a Daddy's girl) and Niklas.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, December 6, 2025 at St Paul's Episcopal Church, 275 Southfield Rd, Shreveport, LA at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Bobby loved his dogs so if you would like a wonderful rescue to support, please make a donation to Carly's Angels Senior Rescue. https://www.carleysangelsrescue.org/
