JAMES (JIMMY) YOUNG TANNER

Jimmy was born on July 7,1938, in Bernice, Louisiana to James and Eloise Tanner. He peacefully passed away on  January 1, 2023 of natural causes. He resided in Keithville, La with his wife of 30 years, Marie. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Navy and he enjoyed his life long career as a logger.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Tanner; and his sisters, Martha Robicheaux and Frances Shepperd.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Meyers Tanner; his brother, Jerry Tanner and wife, Pat which was also Jimmy's very good friend; 4 daughters, Debbie Stanford, Donna Thomas and husband, Chip ,Heather Pilkington and husband, Rance, Rachel Reid and husband, Kyle; son, Todd Tanner; 3 step sons Bobby Lindsey and wife, Kelli, Shane Lindsey and James Lindsey and 1 step daughter Tina and her husband, Aaron Manuel. Jimmy had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana 71115.
