James Stanley Tabor Shreveport, LA - A gathering in memory of Stan will be held 2 PM Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Aulds Funeral Home Chapel, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA. James Stanley "Stan" Tabor, age 57, passed away peacefully at Grace Home at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014, following a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on March 25, 1956 in Many, Louisiana to Billy James "Buddy" Tabor and Barbara Jean (Smith) Tabor. Stan grew up in Many, Louisiana where he attended Many High School. He worked for many years in his family's business, Tabor's Farm and Ranch Supply, before moving to Shreveport where he was an employee of Chevyland for the past several years. Stan was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved younger brother, Bruce. He is survived by one son, James Stanley Tabor, II, Martheville, LA; one sister, Donna Beth Carter Schiefelbein; one niece, Ashley Carter Bhramayana; and one nephew, Anthony Craig Carter, Jr., all from areas in and near Baton Rouge, LA. Stan was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan throughout his entire life. He loved to sell cars, but mostly he loved to own and drive beautiful "fast" cars. His will to live far exceeded most. He never gave up throughout his illness. Family and friends wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Molly Thomas, M.D. and Dr. Neelima Chintapalli, M.D. of the Christus Schumpert Cancer Treatment Center and the staff at Grace Home for the professional and loving care shown to Stan. Also, very special thanks and gratefulness go out to Chevyland; his close friends, Rick Free and his co-workers at Chevyland; Joseph and Trish Schoth; and Janell Stevens, all of whom expressed their unconditional love and support throughout his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Home. logo Published in Shreveport Times from Jan. 12 to Jan. 13, 2014 Print | View Guest Book - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/shreveporttimes/obituary.aspx?n=james-stanley-tabor&pid=169021182&fhid=10228#sthash.ZsAdexA9.dpuf
