It is with great sorrow and heartfelt sadness to announce the passing of James "Jim" Thomas Stanley. Jim was born in Fries, VA on 2/26/1949.  He died of natural causes on 9/4/2023.

Jim is preceded by his mother, Betty Bouse, dad, Gene Bouse, and son, Christopher Stanley.

Jim is survived by his caring and loving wife, Carole Stanley. He is also survived by Karen and Jim Hartwell, sister and brother in law, Lynn Smith, daughter, Gene and Paige Stanley, son and daughter in law, Melissa Bentley, daughter, Maxwell McKenney, grandson, Chris Stanley, grandson, LaBrinia Bentley, granddaughter, and Maximus McKenney, great grandson.

Jim loved life and was proud to be a Marine. He enjoyed getting to know people and making them laugh. He loved the Lord and his savior Jesus Christ. He now resides in their Kingdom and is at peace.

A memorial service will be held at a future date. The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
