Memorial for James M. Jones, Sr., age 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 at Auld's Funeral Home (7849 E. Kings Highway).  Officiating will be Troy McGee.  The family will receive guest from 1:45 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Jones was born on November 9, 1933 in Okolona, Arkansas to Clifton Trout and Eva Belle Rushing Jones and passed away on December 29, 2019 after a lengthy illness.  He is retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier.  He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton Trout and Eva Belle Rushing Jones, brother John Paul Jones, brother Joe Clifton Jones and wife Mary and their children Joe Clifton Jones, Jr. and Deborah Lynne Jones.  He is survived by Onetha Norrid Jones (wife of John Paul Jones), son James M. Jones, Jr. and wife Patricia, son Barry Kirk Jones and wife Betty.  He is also survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  In addition, Mr. Jones is survived by many members of our extended Judo and Garden Valley neighborhood family.

The family would like to give thanks to the Dr. Cody Tingle, the nursing staff and caregivers at Willis Knighton hospitals, Heritage Manor (Stratmore) and Post Acute Medical (PAM) for their care and assistance.
