James M Pollard, 72, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at The Bradford Assisted Care Facility. He passed away peacefully. James was born May 3rd, 1954 in Shreveport Louisiana.

James was a loving Father, Husband, and Brother. Known as an outstanding fisherman who always knew the “spot”. You could always find him around water scoping for a new spot to throw a line in . A handyman superhero to all who knew him. He loved his Grandchildren the little time he had with them. James always had a deep love for God and his word. He expressed this to all those around him during hard times. A truly wonderful Father, Husband, Brother, and Friend.

He is Preceded in death by his parents Herman Archie Pollard and Mary Ferguson Pollard. Sister(s) Jan Wilkinson, Glenda Schaeffer.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years Mona M Pollard, Brother in law Sonny Wilkinson, Sons; Brandon Salley, (Ashleigh Salley) Barrett Pollard , and Archie Pollard. Grandchildren Archie Josiah Pollard, Jean Pollard, and Lily Salley. Among Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Friends. All of whom he loved so dearly. Holding each one close to his heart.

Visitation will be held at Aulds Funeral Home July 1,2026 located 7849 E Kings Hwy, Shreveport La, from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held at the same location July 2, 2026 at 10 A.M. with burial at Forest Park Cemetery West.

Paul bearers will be Austin Venable, Ryan Glover, Matthew McLaughlin, Seth Stone, Nathan Schaeffer, Kevin Schaeffer.
