James Joseph “Jimmy Joe” Moody, 72, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026. Born on March 25, 1953, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Jimmy Joe was a devoted child of God whose life reflected kindness, compassion, and a generous spirit.

Jimmy Joe was known by all who met him as one of the kindest souls you could ever encounter. He had a heart as big as his smile and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His love extended not only to people, but also to animals. Each year, he faithfully organized and participated in food drives to support local animal shelters, a cause that was especially close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Caroline Gray; his father, Murlyn Moody; and his grandmother, Mary Jane Moody.

Left to cherish his memory are his three sisters: Mary Jane Summers of Blanchard, Louisiana; Donna Sue Sardina of West Palm Beach, Florida; and Carol Ann Christian and husband Bud of Blanchard, Louisiana. He also leaves behind extended family members and many friends who will deeply miss his gentle nature and loving presence.

A memorial service honoring Jimmy Joe’s life will be held at Aulds Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Clyde Miley officiating.

Jimmy Joe’s life was a testament to love, faith, and quiet generosity. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
