James Leo Cadwell (Jim)       July 10, 1943 – July 14, 2022

Jim passed away quietly in his sleep in the morning of July 14, 2022.  He is survived by his wife, Pat of 60 years, his son Steve and wife Mary, his daughter, Bev and her husband Bill, his son Ed and his wife Jodi and his daughter Teri.  He is also survived by his brothers Ole, Marv and his sister Janette.  Jim had 10 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Clara, his brother John, his grandson Jeromy and his great granddaughter, Hannah.

Jim worked for the Moundsview school district as custodian and maintenance until his retirement.  Prior to that he was an auto mechanic for multiple garages.  His pastime was vehicle maintenance and painting cars.  His neighborhood garage was always a place people came to get help on their vehicles, yard equipment, or just to have a beer.  His passion was camping, hunting and fishing with his family.  His neighborhood garage provided the extra income to provide those adventures for his children and grandchildren.

His funeral and burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 38725 Forest Boulevard, North Branch, Minnesota on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.  A reception will follow at the American Legion Hall, 67439 Elm Street, North Branch immediately after.  The family would like to especially thank the staff and care takers at Savanah Grand, Bossier City, Louisiana for the past two years of care to Jim.
