Shreveport La- Hunter, surrounded by his family, passed away at Willis-Knighton Pierremont hospital, Tuesday August 19th, 2014. He was born April 23rd, 1994 in Vicksburg, Ms. He is survived by his mother April Stanfield Folse, Stepfather Darrel Folse II, and Brother Landon Folse all of Austin Tx, Father Lee Smith of Houston TX, Grandmother Gussie LaForge of Shreveport, La, Grandparents Don and Mona Stanfield of Epps, La, Step Grandparents Darrel and Anna Folse of Shreveport La, along with a host of relatives and other friends. Hunter was a young man who loved to read, joke with friends, and listen to music. He had a great sense of humor and loved to ask questions to fill himself with knowledge. He was highly involved in his church and lived a very spiritual life. He lived his life for Jesus and was active in his church. He touched many people along his journey. A memorial service will be held for Hunter at his church Apostolic Faith Tabernacle on Saturday August 23rd 2014 in Shreveport La. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Hunters memory to his church, Apostolic Faith Tabernacle 9204 Youree Dr. Shreveport, La 71115. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to all the dedicated Doctors, nurses of LOPA (Louisiana Organ Procurement Association) and Willis Knighton ICU and ER staff for their wonderful and compassionate work in helping Hunter realize his final gift of giving life to others.
