In Loving Memory of

Huey Manshack

April 25, 1956 – June 27, 2026

With saddened hearts, the family of Huey Manshack announces his peaceful passing on June 27, 2026. At the time of his passing, Huey was residing in Shreveport, Louisiana, with his brother, Ernest Manshack.

Born on April 25, 1956, Huey embraced life's simple pleasures and found great joy in the outdoors. An avid fisherman, some of his happiest moments were spent on the water with his longtime fishing partner and dear friend, Brian Sigman. He was also a devoted fan of LSU athletics, and nothing made him happier than cheering on the Tigers while enjoying the company of family and friends.

Huey was a proud member of our Native American tribe. We are members of the Choctaw Apache tribe of Ebarb Louisiana. He was blessed into the tribe by Chief Thomas Rivers. His Native name is Blackhawk. One of his proudest moments at that time of his life.

Huey was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vera Manshack; his parents, Huey and Juanita Manshack; his grandparents, Ernest and Gracie Castee, and Johnny and Florence Manshack; and his sister, Dorothy Bayliss.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, Ernest Manshack and his wife, Candy, and Billy Manshack and his wife, Lori. He is also survived by his children, Kristin Manshack, Nico Manshack, and Taylor Manshack; his niece, Tonja Parker; Tonja's children, Joshua Parker, Tyler Parker, Coby Barron, and Cameron Barron; along with many extended family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with him.

The family will celebrate Huey's life with a private gathering of close family members to be held at the home of Tonja Parker.

Though he will be deeply missed, Huey will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for fishing, his unwavering loyalty to LSU, and the many memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
