Kay was born on March 27, 1939. The first born of seven children to Rev. K.P. and Mercie D. Jones.

After graduating from Springville High School in 1957, she united in marriage to Joe W. Bonner. To this union one son was born, Gerald Bonner.

Kay set out to continue her education at Grambling State University, and during that time mastered a BS degree. Kay accepted Christ under Rev. Atkins at Willow Grove Baptist in Coushatta, Louisiana. Kay worked and developed some long lasting friendships at Valencia, C.E. Byrd, Captain Shreve High, and Shreve Memorial Library.

Cherished memories of Kay will be shared by her siblings; her only son/daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great     grandchildren, one great great grandson, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
