Harris "Lee" Meshell was born July 22, 1959, in Converse, Louisiana to Floyd and Mary
Meshell. Lee went to be with the Lord in the early evening of January 14th, 2022, with his family
by his side.
Lee and his family moved to Shreveport in 1969 where he continued to live out the rest
of his life. Lee was a kind and friendly soul to everyone he met. He always looked forward to
friends and family stopping by to talk and hangout. He made everyone smile, especially his dog
Jackson, that he loved to feed Kraft cheese and bologna. He was known as a "Jack of all trades"
but especially was passionate about his work in carpentry and construction. He was a dedicated
man who worked from the age of 14 until he retired in 2021.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Meshell; brother, Larry
"PeeWee" Meshell; special cousin/brother, Calvin "Peanut" Ezernack; sister, Martha "Sister"
Gross; niece, Amy; daughter, Allissa; and great nephew, L.J. Glaze. Left to cherish his beautiful
memories are his brothers, RL, Leonard, Wilbert "Bird", Michael "Rocky"; sister, Darlene;
special nieces and nephews, Bryan, Felicia, Bubba, Brandi, DW, and Britney; special
cousin/brother, Bobby Ezernack; special friends, Daniel, Rosella, Big Al, Dean, Joe, and Pat; and
a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family and friends would like to extend a special thank you to the kind staff of Willis
Knighton North critical care unit for their compassionate care.
Visitation will be held at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway in Shreveport,
Louisiana from 2 to 5 o'clock in the evening on Thursday, January 20, 2022. The service will be officiated by Father Raney
Johnson at 3 pm. Masks will be required for all guests. Social distancing will be appreciated at
special request of the family.
