Shreveport, LA - Harold Onis Brewer went to be with the Lord June 6, 2015. Born January 29, 1929, Mr. Brewer, retired Msgt., had a long career in the Air Force serving state side as well as Vietnam and Germany. He was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie A. Brewer, son, Harold D. Brewer, and parents, Albert and Maye Brewer. He is survived by his children, Christine Wilson and husband Donald; Steven Petitt, Gregory Petitt, Leann Barber and husband Robert Michael; and Ronald Petitt; sisters, Shirley Johnston, Doris Feiner and husband Stuart; nephews, Scott Johnston and Randy Erwin, and niece, Sherry Bray. Also surviving Mr. Brewer are the joys of his life, his grandchildren; Jeremy Wilson and wife Maggie; and great granddaughter Abigail, Samuel Petitt, Nathan Petitt, Tyler Morgan, Kristen Morgan, and Emma Barber. As a dedicated Christian, he served faithfully at Western Hills Baptist Church as deacon and home bound minister for many years. He loved and appreciated the folks and caregivers at Montclair Assisted Living. His family also wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the loving care and attention he received from the staff as well. Pall bearers are Donald R. Wilson, Robert M. Barber, Christopher Tyler Morgan, Samuel Petitt, Jesse A. Wilson, and Robert Tylor Barber. Visitation is at Western Hills Baptist Church, Tuesday, June 9 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Western Hills Baptist Church, Wednesday, June 10 at 11 a.m. with graveside service following in Dekalb, Texas.
