Glenda Steadman born on August 15, 1952 passed on March 25 ^th , 2023. She was born in Natchitoches, Louisiana to Milton Gandy and Jennie Brumley Gandy.

We will all most remember mom for her love of others. She did not hesitate to make anyone feel at home when she was with you. She would open her home, share her love of her family and most of all, share her love of Christ. She was always willing to say a prayer, give a word of encouragement, provide someone with love and willing to sacrifice whatever she had for another person. Mom did not grow up with much and never wanted to make a fuss. We will remember stories of outhouses in her youth, being a scared young woman and traveling to Germany to be with dad in the Air Force, having milk delivered to her home in Germany, and living on meager means during times in the Air Force.

Preceding her in her passing was Milton Gandy, Jennie Brumley, and brother Dwayne Gandy. She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years, Gene Steadman, daughter Christine Beshea and son-in-law, Waymon Beshea, son, James Steadman and wife Jennifer Steadman, daughter Ashley Steadman and Chris Woodle, sister Wanda Gandy, and Grandchildren, Elisha Howell, Amanda Owens and husband John Owens, Haley Steadman, Lacy Steadman, and Spencer Steadman, and Great-Grandchildren, Abigail Owens, Andrew Owens and Allen "Big Al" Owens. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. We all will strive to live mom's legacy of knowing that Jesus is our savior, loving others, serving others, and sharing the gospel with all. If you wish to memorialize mom, a donation can be made to St. Jude's hospital.

To honor mom's wishes, we will be forgoing a memorial service and will have a small graduation celebration as a family. We thank the ICU staff and Neurological staff at LSU Hospital in Shreveport for their attention and treatment of all of us during this time.
