Obituary

Glenda Faye McCormick May, age 73, passed away in Bossier City, La on December 11, 2020 following a lengthy illness.

Glenda was born September 6, 1947 in Delhi, Louisiana.  She lived most of her life in the West Monroe area and a great deal of time in Farmerville, La. She later settled in the Shreveport area where she could be closer to children and grandchildren. As a music lover, she enjoyed singing and her beautiful alto voice could reach beyond the heavens. Finding comfort in music, now she is singing in God's choir.

"Why me Lord?" would be a common question Glenda asked many times. Her life was full because she found a way to not be bitter, lonely, or afraid she had Peace.. Deuteronomy 31:6-8 says "He will be with you; he will not leave you nor forsake you."  Her Brother, James, said it best. "Tested so many times she has passed the test. She will be missed until we see her again.  She has taught us a lot!"

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents Walter Lee McCormick and Annie Mae Stansell McCormick, her brother W. Ray McCormick and her Son Rodney Wayne May.  She is survived by her brother, James Allen McCormick and wife Becky, twin sister Linda Maqouirk and husband Jimmy, sister-in-law Stella Booth McCormick.  She is also survived by her son, Randy May and wife Michelle, daughter Melena May McNeely, and  daughter-in-law Mary May, Grandchildren Megan and Parker Goldsack, Shelby McNeely and  Jordon and  Gracie May, Tia Pippenger and John Henry Hale as well as a host of nieces and nephews that were very dear to her heart.
