Obituary

Glen "Tommy" Bryan Braucht III, 75, of Waskom, Texas, passed on July 21, 2021 doing what he loved most riding his trike. His family is honoring his wishes to be cremated.

He was born on August 31,1945 in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his mother Marjorie Schilling Braucht and daughter Jennifer Braucht. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Margaret Gentry Braucht; his daughter, Mary Bina and husband Jeff Bina; his son, Michael Braucht and wife Gloria Braucht; his sister, Pamela Callaway and husband Thomas Callaway; his grandchildren, Austin Glen Bina and wife Bridget Bina, Sarah Adley and husband Cole Adley, Connor Sharpe and Benjamin Bryan Braucht.

Glen graduated from Carthage high school in 1963. He worked as an Electronic technician for Bell South until he retired in 2005. He served his country for 4 years in the Air Force as a airplane mechanic.

He married Margaret Braucht in 1988 and they lived together in Waskom, Texas for 33 years in their log home that he built with his son until his passing. He loved his family, flying remote control airplanes, riding his trike and wave runner. He valued a strong work ethic and instilled that in his children. At 75 years old, after surviving a stroke 14 years ago, he still mowed his property and pulled up tree stumps with his tractor. He gave the best hugs and was very affectionate with his children and family. He will be missed greatly. His family is thankful for a new body as he enters his life in heaven with his mother and daughter. God is good.

Per his wishes we will be celebrating his life privately with family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
