Gina Mathes Dixon, 53 year old of Keithville Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 after a brief illness, she was surrounded by family. Gina was born in Shreveport Louisiana on January 10, 1966. She graduated from Southwood High School, class of 1984. Gina was a loving and caring spouse, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her hobbies included arts and crafts of all kinds, building things, reading books, playing sports, and spending time with her family and friends. She never met a stranger and she loved entertaining and hosting get togethers at her house for her neighbors and friends. She was young at heart and always loved to have fun and joke around. She always went above and beyond for all birthdays and holidays to make them as special as possible for her family and loved ones. Gina was definitely the rock that held the family together and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her father Gary Lee Mathes. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 33 years William Neil Dixon, her son Scott Allen Dixon,  her two daughters Heather Dixon Callicoatte and husband Cody, Harley Angelica Dixon, her two grandsons Carson Callicoatte and Noah Callicoatte, her mother Ellen June Davis and husband Glen, and her brother Heath Lane Mathes and wife Tammy. The visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Keithville, 6295 Williams Rd, Keithville, LA 71047 with the memorial service immediately following. The dress code is very casual.
