Geraldine was born July 14, 1942 in Montrose, Colorado, after a courageous battle with cancer she passed away July 16, 2022, peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Champion, her parents Pete and Mary Saiz, sister Mary Ann Saiz and great-grandson Averin Harris. She is survived by her daughter Tanya Champion, a special great-grandson/best friend Trenston Young, two grandsons, Julian and Malik/Kateria Champion, three granddaughters, Auset Champion, Destiny and Lyric Dunn, four other great-grandsons, Amir and Adez Harris, Malik Jr. and Milo Champion. Also surviving Geraldine are three daughters from a previous union Irene, Monica and Sonia, along with their children and grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn nephews and nieces, in-laws and their families along with a long list of family and friends.

Geraldine was an awesome mom and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends. As per her wishes, there were no services held. Instead we ask that instead you extend love, kindness, forgiveness, and mercy to those in need. Geraldine will be forever missed and her memory shall be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones until we meet again.
