George Jeffery McFerren

George "Jeff" McFerren was born November 5, 1963, in Lake Charles, Louisiana and left us to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Jeff grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana and graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1981.  He went on to work as a paint contractor with his dad, brother, and cousin.  In his spare time, Jeff loved fishing, hunting, and hanging out with Tyler.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Louise McFerren; his father, Wayne McFerren; stepmother, Jan McFerren; and an infant son, Jeffery "Austin" McFerren.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Tyler McFerren and wife, Ginny; sister, Janet Veuleman and husband, Eric; brother, Michael McFerren and wife, Angela; and two nephews, Blayne and Colt McFerren.  Jeff is also survived by his brother, Joel Brown and wife, Michelle; sister, Kathleen Sepulvado and husband, Joey; sister, Jeanette "Sissy" Thornton; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Willis Knighton South for their care and attention to Jeff.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 25, 20.23, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana 71115.

He Lives On

You can shed tears that he is gone

You can remember him and only that he is gone

Or you can do what he would want, smile, open your eyes, love, and live on.
