That same year, he completed officer training at the United States Navy Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida, embarking on what would become a distinguished and enduring military career.

George proudly served in the United States Navy for 38 years, from 1957 until his retirement in 1995, achieving the rank of Commander. His service spanned decades of global change and challenge, including his honorable service during the Vietnam War. Throughout his naval career, George exemplified leadership, professionalism, and unwavering dedication.
