It is with great sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Gala Ann Killingsworth Dykes, on November 7, 2023, at home surrounded by family.  She was a beloved Mother of two daughters, Sister, Aunt, Gee-Gee of five, Friend and Neighbor. Born on November 13, 1964, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Gala dedicated 28 years of her life as a skilled LPN at Pilgrim Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, where she made many lifelong friendships.

She is preceded in death by her mother Annie Lee Martin Rusley, and brother Michael Killingsworth. She is survived by her Fiancé George Wayne Davidson, daughters Latasha Killingsworth Washington (Lonnie Washington), Dominique Alexander as well as her grandchildren Shyann Killingsworth, Carlese Killingsworth, Lakyron Killingsworth, London Washington, Donzelle Pipkins, and support animal De'Angelo (Dee) Dykes. As well as two sisters, two brothers, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Gala was a long-time member of The Potter's House lead by Bishop T.D. Jakes. Her faith was an important part of her life, providing her with strength and guidance throughout her life.

Gala's creativity and charisma was admired by all that crossed her path. She was truly a blessing to everyone and will be deeply missed by all. Memorial services will take place Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 at 309 Holcomb Drive Shreveport, La 71103.
