Born February 8th, 1943 in Augusta, GA. To Fred and Frances Ivey. He enlisted right out of high school into the Air Force, and retired after many years of service as a staff sargent. He had 4 beautiful children, Darren Ivey, Jennifer Ivey, Kevin Ivey and Autumn Ivey. His children were the apple of his eye, and Jack would do anything he could for them or for his friends. After retiring from the Air Force, Jack then learned how to do trim carpentry, until 1991. In 1994 he began to drive a tractor trailor and did so until his semi retirement in 2005. He then became a shuttle driver for the KCS railroad. Shuttling engineers and conductors from site to site. Fred passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 19th 2008. He was a very loving man. Very devoted to his family and his savior Jesus Christ. Fred is proceeded in death by his mother and father, Frances and Fred Ivey. Fred is survived by his wife Ruby of 5 years, 4 natural children and 7 children by marriage, there was no step in his eyes. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, numerous close friends and aquintences.
