Frances Lavelle Peterson, of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, was born December 8, 1931, and passed away peacefully June 29, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Frances graduated from Plain Dealing High School   and started working on Barksdale AFB. She married George Peterson, an Army soldier, raised a family and traveled the world. She loved spending time with family and friends, and she found joy in singing, writing songs, and dancing.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharron, Susan and Renee; her sister, JoAnn, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, George Peterson; her son, William "Dale" Jump; her parents; and her four sisters and one brother.

A graveside service will be held July 7, time 10:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery, 601, US HWY 80 East, Haughton, Louisiana, 71037.
