Frances Corinne Jenkins, 72, of Bossier City, went to be the Lord on March 27th in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on December 9th, 1950, in Beaumont, Texas to the late James and Clinta Simmons and eventually made her way to Louisiana. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend known for her giving nature, hard work, generosity and biting sense of humor.

Despite facing many challenges throughout her life, Corinne worked tirelessly to support her children and always put their needs before her own.  She was a loving and hardworking woman, always willing to do everything possible to help friends and family.

Her giving spirit was evident in the way she interacted with friends, family, and community. She had a heart of gold and was always there for anyone in need. Her generosity extended beyond her immediate family to her friends who needed help, and she never hesitated to lend a helping hand.  Her giving heart left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Despite the challenges she faced as a single parent, Corinne never lost her sense of humor or her quick wit.  Even in her final days.

Corinne will be deeply missed by her children, John and James Jenkins, her siblings, Kathy Brown and Cynthia Pica, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, her extended family and all of those who were fortunate enough to know her.  Her legacy of kindness and generosity will live on through the lives she touched and the countless acts of kindness she performed throughout her life.

The family would particularly like to extend its love and thanks to the wonderful and caring doctors, nurses and support team at Willis-Knighton Bossier Health Center for all their loving care.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Corinne will be decided at a later time and will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
