Frances Monk Bailey, age 86, of Shreveport, LA, died Saturday, December 5, 2009, at The Grace Home in Shreveport, LA. Mrs. Bailey was an executive assistant for Phillips Energy for 28 years. Arrangements are being handled by Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, December 7, 2009. Graveside service will be at New Ramah Cemetery, Hwy 808, Haynesville, LA at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 8, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Meadors and Nora (Ratcliffe) Monk; one sister, Elnora Tanner; two brothers, William M. and Samuel W. Monk. Left to cherish her memory are: one daughter, Nancy (Bailey) Hester of Shreveport, two sisters, Cynthia (Monk) Martin of Arcadia, LA and Nell (Monk) Holmes of Conway, AR; grand children, Adam Hester, Jacob Hester and wife, Katie and son Jackson, and Chance Hester as well as a host of family and friends. Her pallbearers will be Adam Hester, Jacob Hester, Chance Hester, Tom Martin, James Martin, and Jon Holmes.
