Florida Mae Hines Wagner was born to Floyd Smith and Ruby Lee on September 7, 1936 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was one of two children. Her sister, Bobby J. Hines, preceded her in death. Florida confessed Christ at an early age. She united with St. John Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend A.J. Holland. Florida wed Charles Ray Hines in 1951. Of this union, three children were created. Peggy Hines, infant, preceded her in death. Daughter, Wanda (James) Lewis and son, Gregory D. (Ethel) Hines cherish decades of memories.

February 28, 2022 Florida Mae departed earthly existence to exist eternally with her Father. Her love, kindness, devotion, and dedication will forever imprint the hearts of family and friends.

Florida leaves to cherish her memory; her beloved grandchildren Cedric Barnes, Merrick Hines, Leonardo Hines, Arlana Lewis-Bailey (Darnell), Frederick Barnes (Stephanie), Andrea Lewis-Jones (Jacobi). Seventeen wonderful great-grands and three beautiful great-great grands.
