Born in Gillham, Arkansas, on June 11, 1946, and adopted within 24 hours by the only parents he ever knew, Robert Fletcher Christian and Essie Lillian Henrietta Travis Christian. He graduated from De Queen High School where he established school track records in mile and in half mile.
Larry served in the National Guard at De Queen, AR and he retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad after 36 1/2 years as a brakeman and conductor.
He enjoyed deer hunting, RVing (24 states), Cruises (Alaska and Hawaii), Country and Western dancing (member of the Western Swing Music Society of the Southwest, WSMSS.
Larry leaves behind two sons, Fletcher Dale Christian and wife, Shannon and Robert Brian Christian and wife, Kim; two grandsons, Hayden Fletcher Christian and Michael Brian Christian; and two granddaughters, Ashlie Dale Christian and Taylor Michelle Christian.
He was a life member of:
