Obituary

Fadra H. Bone passed away peacefully at home on May 28 th , 2021, at the age of 86. Fadra was born in Yates Center, Kansas on August 30 th , 1934 to Rogers Hughes Hammet from Campti, Louisiana and Leonabelle Wilkerson from Quebec, Canada.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 69 years, William Leo Bone. She is survived by her son William Leo Bone, Jr., daughters Patricia Bone Sipes and Tammy Bone Scogin, grandsons Billy Bone III, Cory Sipes, Chris Sipes, Christopher Scogin and Cody Scogin, great-grandchildren Lillian, Brock, Wendell, Oliver and Marigold.

Fadra's most-loved pastime was music. She shared her beautiful voice with many and deeply enjoyed her fellowship with Broadmoor Methodist Choir for many years. She was also committed to her role as a teacher's aide at Caddo Parish Reading Center at Barrett Elementary, tutoring many children after school. She loved reading, sewing and most of all, making you feel special. Over the years Fadra and Bill graciously took many into their home and whether it was the warmth of family, timely words of encouragement, or shelter from the storm, they always rose to the occasion by providing what they could to those in need. We honor and celebrate her life – one defined by her quiet steadfastness to love the people around her. A simple act with a lasting impact.

We would like to thank Brandi, Ann, Brother Jim, Betty and Lisa from Amedisys Hospice for the love and compassion given to our Mom and Dad. We are forever grateful.

A private memorial will be held by the family. If you are called to give in her memory, please donate to a cause that you are passionate about.
