Eva LaVerne Jackson was born in Robeline, Louisiana on March 4, 1929, to Clarence Major and Mayo (Veuleman) Hardy and passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Eva was a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She retired from the telephone company with over 35 years of service. Eva was an amazing person that never said a bad word about anyone. She was a true inspiration to us all!
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnnie Jackson; brothers, Marvin and Aubrey Hardy; and her sisters, Zeba Dillard, Betty Farmer, and Dalton Ferrell.
Honored to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda Dickinson; brother, Glen Hardy; grandchildren, Steven Kruithof (Trina), Charlie Kruithof (Jennifer), Amber Taylor, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Jamie Kruithof, Devon Kruithof, Kaitlynn Kruithof, Jason Ferrell, KJ Kruithof, Mercedes Taylor, Jordyn Taylor, Jeremiah Taylor; and great-great-grandchildren, Emmy Kruithof, Kase Kruithof, and Karliegh Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Steven Kruithof, Charlie Kruithof, Devon Kruithof, Jamie Kruithof, Jeremy Taylor, and KJ Kruithof.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Heritage Manor-Stratmore for the love and care they have shown to Eva.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 200 Carroll Street, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71105. A visitation will begin at 10 AM followed by the service at 11 AM.
