A service will be held for Ethan Connor Rikke, 22, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 East Kings Highway, Shreveport, Louisiana, 71115. Family friend, Andrew Lewis, will be officiating the service.

Ethan Connor Rikke was born on March 7, 2002, in Bossier City, Louisiana to Nancy Blankenship Rikke and Todd Rikke, alongside his twin sister Logan Ashley Rikke. He passed away on April 29, 2024. Growing up, Connor always loved spending time with his family. He would often pick flowers for his mother and grandmother and play video games with his siblings and father. Throughout his schooling, he was always top of his class. He was a member of Beta Club, Honor Society, Biotech, and E.A.S.T. He was even in the running for valedictorian of Southwood High School. He went to Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where he studied Computer Science. Connor had few hobbies, however, the hobbies he did have he was an expert in. He played video games such as Legend of Zelda, Overwatch, Minecraft, and Stardew Valley. He often planted in his mother's garden and loved Honeysuckles. He enjoyed collecting what could only be described as knick-knacks, ranging from snow globes to wrist watches. He was a fan of hiking in the mountains with his family, as well as exploring caves. He had an avid love for animals throughout the years, particularly cats Omen, Elfwyn, and Havel and dog Luna.

Connor was preceded in death by his grandparents Eugenia Mitchell Blankenship, Richard West, as well as many beloved great-grandparents. He is survived by his parents Nancy and Todd, siblings Logan, Samantha and fiancée Sydnie, Justin and wife Kaitlin and their son Weston, grandparents Bonna Berg and husband Bruce Berg, James O'Brien Blankenship and wife Rhonda Blankenship, Robin West, along with numerous family members and friends.
