April 23, 1990 – September 1, 2024

Ethan Aaron Geoghagan, 34, of Shreveport passed away on September 1, 2024, at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana, after a long battle with double pneumonia and lung complications. He was born on April 23, 1990, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to Terry J. Geoghagan and Janet Henderson. Funeral services will be held on September 6, 2024, at Old Pisgah Baptist Church in Marthaville, Louisiana. Burial to follow at Fort Jesup Cemetery, Fort Jesup, Louisiana.

Ethan was preceded in death by his beloved aunt, Karen Geoghagan, his paternal grandparents, Thomas Jerome "T.J."  Geoghagan and Yeceleta "Jean" (Faust) Geoghagan, his maternal grandfather, K.G. Henderson Jr., and his maternal great-grandparents, Ruth (Leone) Craig and Fred Lee Craig, and Leatha (Leone) and LeeRoy Jake Rivers.

He is survived by his children, Christian Everit Geoghagan and Novaleigh Geoghagan. Ethan is also survived by his parents, Terry Geoghagan of Many, Louisiana, and Janet Henderson of Stonewall, Louisiana; his brothers, T.J. Geoghagan and his special friend Alisha, and Jessie Geoghagan of West Monroe, LA; and half-brother Roger Koss and his son Samuel, as well as his maternal grandmother, Martha R. Henderson of Zwolle, Louisiana, and his fiancée, Katherine Sanders of Stonewall, LA. His extended family includes his maternal aunts, Connie Henderson of Zwolle and Rhonda Henderson of Jacksonville, Florida, as well as his paternal aunt, Shiela Grappe (Freddie) of Many, Louisiana, and paternal uncles, Kelvin Geoghagan of Many, Louisiana, and Adrian Geoghagan (Peggy) of Mandeville, Louisiana, and niece, Hannah Geoghagan of Pennsylvania. Great maternal aunts and uncles include Nancy and Jim May, Betty Rivers, and Roy Rivers. Ethan is also survived by many cousins and friends. Special friends include Bobbie Graves, Tyler Johnson, and Lauren Procell.

Growing up, Ethan's passions included riding dirt bikes with his brothers, hunting, and spending time with friends. He loved the outdoors and played football in high school, graduating from Many High School in 2008. After graduation, Ethan joined the U.S. Marine Corps to serve his country and completed two tours in Afghanistan.

Upon returning home, Ethan followed in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, LeeRoy Jake Rivers, and became a skilled carpenter. Ethan often used his talents to help family and friends, including his dear friend Lina Claire Peterson. He was also known for his culinary skills, particularly his delicious cabbage rolls.

Above all, Ethan was a devoted father who showered his children, Everit and NovaLeigh, with love and care. His memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
