IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth "Sissy"
Smith Herndon
May 9, 2018
Born in 1951 to Drew and Julia Smith, she made her trip to be with them for Mother's Day this week.
Drew taught her how to fish, hunt, cuss and take care of her car. Julia taught her how to love, cook a great meal, sew some threads, and speed like nobody's business.
She loved life to the fullest after she retired from Libbey Glass with 30+ years of service. She was able to reconnect with her Woodlawn High School class of 1969 friends affectionately known as the LOTK, sleep in everyday but Saturday for a good Rummage Sale, and send cards filled with scatter to us all.
Cherishing her memory are her children, Ronnie (Holly) and Angela, her sisters, Cathy and Julia, and brother, Gene (Becky), and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Perhaps the greatest love she ever experienced though and the most treasured possession she leaves us is her granddaughter Cate (Cecily).
With her love of felines especially King Rex Solomon, Liz would love you all to donate in her memory to Port City Cat Rescue in lieu of flowers.
Now that she is Sitting on the Dock of the Bay watching the tide roll away, we would love for you to share your memories of Liz with us Monday, May 14, 2018 at 4pm, with a memorial service to follow at 5:30pm at Aulds Funeral Home on East Kings Hwy, Shreveport, La.
