Elaine Maria (Copponex) Trosclair, of Shreveport, LA (formerly of River Ridge, LA) passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the age of 76. Elaine was preceded in death by her mother Mary Elizabeth Humphrey (2000), her father Maurice Michel Copponex (2001), and her brother Allan Michel Copponex (2018). She was a loving mother to Michelle, Paul (Sherry) and Yvette; grandmother to Brody, Anslee, Breanna, Malina, Johnathan and Amelia; and great-grandmother to LynnLeigh Cecile, Levy McCoy, Lane Garrett, Lincoln Zeke, Julien Jae & Jovi Gavin.

Elaine was a longtime executive assistant for Pruitt and Shenandoah oil companies in Jackson, MS through the mid-1980s and for Millsaps College into the late-1980s. She would also work for several non-profits through the 1990's, including The Nature Conservancy and Temple Sinai. She ended her career working for New Orleans based clothing designer Kenneth Gordon (founder of the Gordon of New Orleans & GNO International). Elaine would relocate to Shreveport, LA following Hurricane Katrina.

Elaine cherished spending time with family and enjoyed cooking, sewing, music and dancing. She began collecting and making jewelry in retirement, and had a talent for making ornate ribbons & decorative wreaths. She will be missed by the many who knew her as Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Momma, Mother-In-Law, Naine, Sunny and most affectionately as Gammy … may she rest in peace.
