Edwin was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and resided in Shreveport until his transition on August 11, 2023. He was employed by Caddo Parish until his retirement in 2018. Edwin enjoyed spending time with his friends, watching his favorite team Dallas Cowboys, and helping others. He will be truly missed by his family and friends, both near and far.

Preceding him in death are five brothers; parents Allie and Walter Jackson; former wife Cindy Jackson.

Left to cherish his memory are wife Teresa Ellis Jackson; bonus son Andre Ellis; two daughters, Ungela Jackson, and Trenese W. Turner; four grandsons Cameron, Josh, Trenton, and Trey; brother Robert Jackson (Gilda); sister Maxine.
