Edmond Athel Houston (Eddie), of Shreveport, La. passed from this life to his Heavenly Home Wednesday January 26, 2022. Edmond was born April 30, 1957 to Harrison Cordell Houston and Lydia Williamson Houston in Monroe La.

Edmond was survived by his Mother Lydia Pickett, son Chris Askew and wife Sharon, grandson Tyler Askew, daughter Christina Houston, granddaughter Vanessa Sausa. Siblings Patty Hopkins, Doyla Wolfe husband Dennis, David Pickett and Sharon Ketchum husband Joey sister-in-law Pam Houston  numerous nieces and nephews and uncles Gerald Houston ,Vernon Houston and fur baby Minnie.

Eddie was proceeded in death by his father Harrison Cordell Houston,step father Wayne Pickett, brothers John Hopkins, Danny Houston, Cordell Houston, sister-in-law Ramona Pickett, niece Patricia Lydia.

Eddie was a loving Dad, son, brother, uncle and grandfather.  Eddie was also dedicated to helping care for his mother and was with her almost every weekend.  Eddie was a tender hearted kind soul! He loved the 23 Psalm. Eddie went into a painting career early on in his life.  He worked a lot up north. He was part of the TV show Extreme Makeover Home Edition.  He was so proud of his part in the show.  He was recognized and awarded for going above and beyond with his work.  Eddie continued his career when he moved back to Louisiana15 years ago and painted many homes and businesses.

Pallbearers will be; Dennis Wolfe,Russell Houston, Dustin Houston, Clayton Blow,Troy Sandifer, Kenny Sousa,Paul Oxley and Honorary Pallbearer Keith David.

In lieu of flowers you can donate to Eddie's favorite charities, ASPCA and ST. Jude's cancer research. The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and staff at WKS for the great care her received.

Visitation will be held from 12-2pm at Western Hills Baptist Church on Monday, January 31, 2022. Funeral services will follow at 2pm.
