Earl Stanley Bethel, age 75, of Benton, Louisiana returned to his heavenly home when he passed away on January 24, 2019 in the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center.  He was born on July 23, 1943 in Roanoke, Virginia to Ivy Lucille and Herbert Calvin Bethel.   Earl dutifully served his country in the United States Air Force in the Philippines during the Vietnam War and worked for the South Central Bell telephone company when he returned until retirement.  He served his community in his local church, spreading the Good News of the Gospel as a Gideon and on church mission trips.  He was an avid photographer and loved to bring smiles to people as a balloon artist.  Most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Herbert Bethel, and his second wife Doris Miller Bethel.

He is survived by his wife Edwina Young Creamer, his three children George Bethel, Cindy Bethel and Cathy Hein, his grandchild Tristan Hein, his brothers Steve Bethel, Stuart Bethel, Guy Bethel and sister Nancy Bethel, and his first wife Evelyn Heller Bethel.

A visitation for all friends and family will be held at 3-7pm Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Aulds Funeral Home on 7849 East Kings Highway in Shreveport, Louisiana.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10am Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Northwest Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery in Keithville, Louisiana.
