Dudley D Norman Jr, 75 of Bossier City, LA passed away in his home after a lengthy illness surrounded by family and friends on February 17,2023. Dudley was born in Natchitoches, LA on July 26, 1947 to Birdie Leigh and Dudley D. Norman Sr. He attended Byrd High school in Shreveport and later attended LSU. He was a lifelong fan of the Fighting Tigers, as well as his beloved New Orleans Saints. He served his country as a member of the USAF and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Dudley married Laurie Bradley on May 27, 1978, and together they had two children, Bradley and Erin. He was also the father to Jeffrey Scott Simpson from his first marriage. He worked as a salesman for many years and enjoyed spending time with family during his downtime. He served on the Board of Directors for Bossier Parks and Recreation where he touched many lives through his time spent coaching and helping to organize youth sports.  Dudley is survived by his wife of 44 years, Laurie, his son, Bradley and wife Sarah, His daughter, Erin, his son, Scott and wife Janet, and his sister, Miriam Burbee. He also left behind to cherish his memory his grandchildren, Ryan, Ethan, Kylie, and Stephanie. He had special bonds with his numerous Nieces and Nephews and spoke of them often. He was predeceased by his Brother, John Robert, Sister, Beverly Laird and husband, Loma, Sister, Sue and husband, Jack, as well as his parents, Birdie Leigh and Dudley Sr.

A Graveside Service will be held at the Northwest Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Keithville, LA on February 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
