Obituary
Dorothy Diem Nyman, 86, passed away peacefully on the night of Thursday, October 5, 2017 surrounded by her family and closest friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Tilley Diem; husband, William Nyman; son, William 'Bill' Nyman, Jr.
Surviving are her daughters, Lorie Nyman, Mindy Love and Pam McCarty; ten grandchildren, Melissa Rayford, Melanie Chism, Kevin Love, Megan Procell, Heather Kreamer, Crystal, Chris, Steven and Tyler McCarty, Taylor Nyman; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was born in Trenton, New Jersey on October 21, 1930 to Arthur and Tilley Diem. On February 14, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, William Nyman. Together, they had four children.
As a devoted military wife, Dorothy traveled by her husband's side for 24 years before making their permanent residency in Shreveport. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.
A viewing will take place at Aulds on Monday, October 9 from 10 - 11 a.m. with the burial immediately following at Forest Park West Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are provided by Aulds Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent to 7849 E Kings Hwy, Shreveport, LA 71115.
